Science Olympiad Success

Our very own Science Olympiad Team competed at the University of Southern Mississippi on March 10th. This was for the state competition, and Northwest won first place overall! We are so proud of them, and we wish them the best of luck at nationals.

Out of 25 different events at the State Olympiad, Northwest students took home awards in 14 categories.

First Place:

Rocks & Minerals – Caleb Xie & Luke Wallace
Green Generation – Annie Nam & Maddie Hall
It’s About Time – Cody Hill & Carson May
Forestry – Maddie Hall & Carson May
Third Place:
Anatomy & Physiology – Joy Ramirez & Abigayle Phillips
Chem Lab – Andy Tran & Luke Wallace
Codebusters – Emily Lu, Cody Hill, & Andy Tran
Environmental Chemistry – Grahm Torrey & Carson May

The National Science Olympiad will be held in Kansas, and the team is currently raising funds here. The fundraiser will last through March 24th.
