If you haven’t checked out the new Crumbl Cookies location in Flowood, it’s a must stop. It’s located at 380 Ridge Way near Cups Espresso Cafe. This week’s flavors are, in order of least favorite to most favorite:
#6 Milk Chocolate Chip 6/10
Anyone who has tried this Crumbl flavor knows that, while it’s not the #1 best chocolate chip cookie ever, it’s a pretty solid choice. Sweeter than the average chocolate chip and definitely thicker (as Crumbl is known for their giant, cake-like cookies), it’s definitely filling. You can’t go wrong with this take on the classic cookie flavor.
#5 Sugar (with Mothers® Eerie Critters™ Cookies) 6/10
Aesthetically, this is the prettiest of the cookies. The little bat cookies on top are a nice seasonal touch. But other than that, this is just your basic run of the mill sugar cookie with a thin layer of icing on top. Nothing special, but by no means a bad cookie. Definitely worth it for people who aren’t into lots of icing! The sprinkles have a nice crunch as well.
#4 Blue Monster (featuring CHIPS AHOY!®) 7/10
A very sweet cookie, but worth the potential cavities. The “turn your tongue blue” frosting is thick. Imagine taking a giant Chips Ahoy and slathering it in buttercream frosting, because that’s exactly what it is. A solid choice for anyone with a major sweet tooth. Has a nice crunch to it.
#3 Peanut Butter Nougat (featuring Snickers ®) 7.5/10
This was a hard week. All the cookies were good–all hits and no misses. It was especially hard narrowing down the top three, but decisions had to be made. Peanut butter fans rejoice, because finally there’s a cookie that’s a perfect combination of vanilla flavoring, peanut butter, and nougat. None of the flavors are overpowering, and they work together well. What knocked this out of the top two was the Snickers pieces on top, which made for a chewy texture.
#2 Almond Coconut Fudge 8.5/10
An Almond Joy in the form of a cookie. It doesn’t get much better than that. Chocolate, coconut flakes, and almonds. A traditional combo that should arguably go down in history as one of the best flavor combos ever created. So, Crumbl already had the advantage that you can’t really go wrong with this cookie. It’s yummy and is exactly what you would expect. I’m not the biggest fan of their chocolate cookies as they seem to dry out quicker, but I can’t even be mad this week.
#1 Cornbread Honey Cake 100/100
I have no idea what I expected, but this is one of the best cookies Crumbl has ever had in their lineup. Apparently they’ve had a cornbread cake cookie before, but I never tried it, so I cannot compare it to this one. All I know is that this one is top notch. The cream cheese frosting is AMAZING. I’m also a sucker for their warm cookies, which this one is.
